About Us

Val and Susie Johnson, the servant leaders and founders of TRIBE, are deeply passionate about serving singles. Having navigated their own journeys as Christian singles, they bring wisdom, love, and God's grace to their mission. Val and Susie met in 2022 and felt the Lord's leading toward marriage in 2023, prompting Susie to relocate to Utah from North Idaho. They were both amazed to discover that the Lord had placed the same vision for TRIBE on their hearts.

Susie, a single parent, understands the unique challenges of being single in a world designed for couples. She began her service to singles in North Idaho in 1999, responding to a calling from the Lord. Over the years, she has been actively involved in various aspects of singles ministry, both within the churches she attended and as part of a non-denominational para-ministry. In 2013, she founded a Meetup group called Christian Singles PULSE (Positive, Uplifting, Loving, Serving, Encouraging), which has grown to over 1,500 members. The ministry she established in North Idaho continues to thrive, even after her move to Utah.

Val and Susie are members of The Mountain Church, where they receive the support and blessing of their Pastor, Ken Kruger. They are committed to following the Lord's guidance every step of the way, trusting that He has a perfect plan for Christian Singles TRIBE.
